Territorial behavior observed already on only the third day of the past seven with any hummer sightings at all. Sunrise at 0615 EDT, feeder was put out late today at about 0800. One male ruby-throated hummer drank briefly at 1312, 63°F. 1342, 66°F, one small male perched and drinking intently was chased off feeder by another. Two to three males observed today by 1346. Fair, mostly sunny day with west wind, and warmer trend forecast the next few days, trees just beginning leaf out.
