Waystation 19314: Finally! Two fresh Monarchs, one large, one smaller, showed little interest in each other, although they passed through the yard loosely together. Also no interest in milkweed. Perhaps two males seeking females? Discouraged by general lack of any butterflies, in particular those that overwinter here and generally frequent my butterfly feeder as soon as temperatures allow. Suspect extreme cold spell did them in. Fewer insects in general.
