Robin (Nesting Behavior)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/14/2021

Number: 2

I have been watching this bird in my yard for a while now I've watched the bird build the nest so I want to assume female. I have never seen any other bird helping or anything like that so I want to assume that the mail is no longer here. Also the female only laid one egg so there is only 1 baby in there she laid the egg in a Bush underneath my living Room window. I've been watching her hop around my yard since the beginning of April so when I learned that she had been going in the Bush I figured she's making a nest and then after a few weeks I checked inside and there was one little baby bird inside. And I came to this website to learn more about American robins and from what I have learned I don't understand why she only laid 1 egg and where is the father? And since the father plays such an important role after they leave the nest is this baby going to be OK?
