Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/13/2021

Number: 3

First female ruby-throated hummer arrival of the season observed, perched and took long rest and drinks well over one minute before moving on. Lots of males today, more quick drinks than chasing, golden-throat boy seen much of day again, began perching on line over feeder. Always little nectar consumed at the feeder, fractions of an ounce per day, as there are relatively few hummers and also abundant wildflowers to keep them busy.
