Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/18/2021

Number: 5

I started putting out the sugar water feeders since February 27th. I noticed hummingbirds March 18th. I have been feeding Black Chins, but sometimes I thought similar species were or are eating from the feeders. Anyhow about two months ago, my transit bus driver said she had Ruby Throats coming to her flowers and feeders, among other species. She also mentioned Monarch butterflies on her trees last Fall, migrating South. She lives west in Ozona, Texas on IH10. I am also hearing from one person that Ruby Throats are eating now at her feeders in south Junction, and that they are also eating at the feeders at South Llano River State Park, about five miles or so south of Junction.
