Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 05/08/2021

Number: 1

I spotted a female hummingbird taking pieces of alpaca wool, I had set out, for her nest. I have only seen 2 males since feeding from the nectar. It is very unusual to not see more hummers this late in the spring here in Northern Virginia. Im wondering if they are discouraged about the area this year due to the 17 year Cicada Festival going on right now!
