Many sights of Spring during a long hot weekend.. the birds, bats, butterflies, are here. The wrens have took up resident in the garden birdhouse this year in our backyard (we will no longer bonfire since they left after the first bonfire last year, and didn't come back till this spring) The finches, doves, and robins, I see them constantly, and they are adjusting to reduced number of bird feeders and no suet. The Starlings blue jays and cardinals, can be seen occasionally they are waiting on backyard Stella cherry tree. We saw 4 types of butterflies in the area this weekend so far Black swallowtail, tiger swallowtail, cabbage white, and Monarch(no paint lady yet). Bought 1 new birdbath has replace the old pond and it is being used by birds. We have our front yard construction project going on so I'm trying to maintain existence with finches nesting in trees nearby. I had to removed some bulbs+ perennials, and delayed annuals being planted... so we will see who shows up once some of those go in the back yard this week. It has been very dry, very little rain, the ground is already showing signs of cracking and grass and flower seeds are having trouble sprouting naturally.
