Reported by Don Davis: My friend, Joan, an 80 year old butterfly breeder, along with her friend, explored farm fields with lilac in full bloom today west of Port Hope and south of Lakeshore Road. They spotted two adult monarchs, two black swallowtails and other butterfly species. Common milkweed is about 8 inches high.
