hill of Lupines blooming.(later there will be monarda) Many small insects present. larger one plucking something from Eastern Red Cedar juniper tree. See this behavior every year. Smaller one with no noticeable red on throat hovering above tree for several minutes, seems to be watching feeder. air temp 90's F.
first 2 weeks of May unseasonably cold night time temps in 30's
