1/3 acre yard. nearby area supports several acres of remnant prairie mixed with oak savanna/ eastern red cedar.
unusual cold spell for couple of weeks in early May slowed plants down. creeping charlie, violets and dandelions helped. Nepata bloomed early May, blooming Now native lupines, petunias, alliums, chives, dogwoods, ninebark, flax, cranesbill, spirea, daisy, Eastern Red cedar released pollen, native cherry, maple, ash, oak trees, New Jersey Tea, sumac, blueberry, prairie smoke, raspberries, anemones, muscari, perennial salvia budding, asian honeysuckle blooming (will remove invasive stuff) iris, peony, astilbe, coreopsis, monarda rudbeckia, echinacea, yarrow, lilies, eryngium, helianthus, hydrangea, phlox, golden rod sedum, aster, common milkweed, native grasses, ornamental grasses, etc
pollinators seen bumblebees, wasps, native bees, monarchs, other butterflies, moths, dragonflies, hummingbirds
