Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 05/27/2021

Number: 6

During the last week there has been a steady trickle of monarchs visiting our yard throughout the day for a rate of about 5-6 an hour observed during daylight hours while gardening. The current main attraction seems to be our extensive lilac plantings which are in full bloom at the moment as well as occasional visits to immature milkweed plants.

Frequent dog-fighting between monarchs also observed.
