Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/28/2021

Number: 12

Hopkins. That's one tough unseen mama monarch butterfly. It's barely flying temps. One found on swamp milkweed and eleven on common milkweed. It doesn't look like egg loading. Just one or two eggs per foot to three foot high plants each.

It'll be interesting to see if these will be male due to the chill temperatures yesterday and last night, or female because it was in the eighties right before the cold rainy day.
