Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/31/2021

Number: 3

I saw a Monarch butterfly hovering over some milkweed in my garden, around noon today. I did not approach the area until about one hour later. There I found two newly laid eggs on one plant and one egg on a second plant. I had looked for eggs yesterday and saw none. I'm sure they were laid just today.
I'll watch closely over the next 3-5 days and hope to see an instar.
