On my walk to the post office at 1 PM today, I observed a female monarch laying eggs on two of 5 Common Milkweed plants near the railroad tracks at the entrance to Harrisville State Park. Further on at the end of 3rd Street near the northern boundary of the park, I saw another female laying eggs at 1:15 PM. At 1:45 PM in town, I saw a male monarch visiting a spirea shrub full of white flowers. Finally, on my way back to my house, I saw a female monarch looking over some milkweed on US HWY-23. Weather was partly sunny with the Wind NW-13 mph. The Dew Point was 62, and the Temperature was 73F.
