Milkweed Sighted

Date: 06/08/2021

Number: 1

12 -16" tall native milkweed is growing in several places in the I-27 bar ditches, and in some wild grass pastures. I have identified it in the past but have forgotten the species name. It is gray-green,alternating round leaves on a thick central stem. Blooms at top of plant are round, creamy colored, similar to Common in shape.
