This is the first time a monarch has laid eggs in this location. There was 12 eggs layed in tuberosa that is barely 2” tall, and I stopped counting at 40 eggs on the syriaca. Most eggs were laid in young shoots that ranged from 3” to 12” tall. Most were a single eggs per leaf. Only a few times were multiple eggs located on the same leaf.
