We've been seeing this male ruby-throated hummingbird surveying our garden and picnic/bird-feeder area from the telephone wires. Despite what we think should be a tempting selection of salvia and three catalpa trees in full bloom, we have only seen him catching bugs and visiting the feeders. We haven't seen any females for the past week or more.
