Out on a lovely evening walk with a friend talking about how it is time to start seeing monarch eggs and larva. Looked at a clump of common milkweed and saw small nibble spots on a leaf. Sure enough there was a second instar on the underside. Since the area is frequently mown I brought the little one to my pollinator garden to live. Yay! May the next generation grow and flourish!
