21°c Sunny South wind at 23kmh/35kmh gusts.
First mated pair! First I saw a female near our common milkweed; she flew across road & I located her nectaring on thistle on dike bank. Minutes later observed a second Monarch, a male, also on thistle. He moved a little to the east; she moved a little to the west...next thing you know...coupled!
I've been seeing at least 1 (usually 2-3) monarch daily since 6/18.
