Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 06/20/2021

Number: 15

In 2020 I reared well over 500 Monarchs.
In 2021 so far around 100. I’ve given away about 100 monarch caterpillars.
I have approximately 60 - 80 chrysalids left and about 100-150 caterpillars in my enclosures. I just started finding many more in my garden and so another cycle begins. I have so many monarchs flying in my yard. I am concerned males might be attacking other males. It looks like they are trying to mate but I fear the older males go after the newly released. Thinking about giving butterflies out to people with milkweed too. Please advise.
