Wow what a butterfly morning! Started this morning before 10 am & continued into the afternoon. We had at least 7 monarchs nectaring on common milkweed & flitting about. Mostly males, faded & fresh & a fresh female. Also 6-8 Red Admirals, a Banded Hairstreak, a Hackberry Emperor, Cabbage Whites, a Question Mark on hummer feeder, & a Black Swallowtail. Add an American Snout & an Eastern Comma butterfly. 23°c partly sunny with very strong NW wind @ 29kmh gusts to 50.
At the back of the house (south) they are protected from the strong wind.
In photo there are 4 monarchs & the Hairstreak.
