I don't know what's going on we just got another hummingbird(male to be determined what species) My sister in Flynn, TX is seeing one today. My daughter in Pearland, TX had 2 this past Wednesday.
Usually dont see them until
end of July or first of August.
Could be the heat in west moving them down in, lack of flowers.
This one went straight to in ground recovering purple Gurantica after seeing it chase a Wren.
We just finished in May clearing out all dead 10 ft inground bushes of Hamelia pattens from 11 degree 2021 February winter storm/snow.

Now Added dwarf Hamelia firebush in containers along with red lantana that finally came into garden centers.
