Have not reported hummingbirds before. Have resident Anna's, and migratory Anna's, Rufous and Allen's. Do have feeders year round, to monitor numbers more accurately. Also have 2 acre year-round nectar flowers and suitable fenced dense habitat. Bird numbers have dropped significantly in recent weeks, which is unusual for this time of year. Generally have around 40 birds over summer, with an increase with the young birds, which did happen about a month ago. Wintertime has seen an unusual number increase of Anna's in the past two years, presumably of birds returning south after summer, with numbers into the 70's. Previous to that, wintertime numbers would average 5-10 winter resident Anna's. Do not have photos, but do have wintertime videos at the feeders to justify high counts, if anyone is interested. Will report regularly from now on.
