Saw flitting about on milkweed patch that was mowed down early July so that it would be about 12 inches high with new growth now when they arrive. We have dozens of pollinator planter beds for nectar and food. It was evident by size, color and flying pattern. Some folks on our area reported earlier monarchs but they may have been viceroys that I have also seen. They Sre smaller and fly differently.
