Sightings report image

Date: 07/12/2021

Number: 1

Faded individual flying along the Pojoaque River and then landing on wet sand in the braided stream. May have been absorbing moisture and minerals from the wet earth. Remained there for 17 minutes until my approach caused it to fly off. This is our first sighting of the summer and only our second of 2021 for Northern New Mexico.
