I decided today that I would count monarchs at all of my 18 locations in and around the town of Harrisville to see how the butterflies are doing since emerging into the 3rd generation back on June 30th to July 1st. On those dates, I had counted 53 and reported them to JN. Today, I counted 67 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. I know that I most likely recounted the 53, so that gives me a net total of 14 new 3rd generation monarchs that I'm reporting today. There were no faded or tattered wings on any of these 67 insects. Weather was sunny with the Wind NE turning to the SE at 5 mph. The Dew Point was 60% with the Temperature at 71F.
