I saw in the front yard of my apt. complex a robin and her fledgling. She was trying to help the baby robin to fly, I guess. The baby robin was trying hard and the mother sat on the fence calling out to her. They ignored me and almost acted like they were tame because I walked past them and they didn't fly away! I was sorry that I couldn't help.
