Sightings report image

Date: 07/13/2021

Number: 5

Found one larger larvae on small immature milkweed plant, toward the bottom of plant resting on a leaf. Found many eggs only on the smaller newer milkweed plants further away from the river. Lots of baby caterpillars on the other leafs of young milkweed plants surrounding this one. There were also eggs. We seen little holes where the tiny larvae the size of one millimeter were eating the milkweed leaves. These eggs and larvae were on the plants that were growing close by manildflowers such as yarrow, w We noced that the further we went on the trail we got closer to the river with the large mature milkweed starting to flower.. no eggs or larvae on any of these larger mature milkweed plants..
