Two monarchs, an older on on the East end of the one-acre, treeless parking lot, and a younger on the NW end. Mild day, light breeze, 88-degrees in the parking lot but 81 in vegetation. some rain within the month, but still drought. Flowers in the immediate vicinity are a couple clumps of Russian sage and marigolds, but mostly asphalt. These are my first of the year.
