Unusual to see one this time of year here, bit one floated across tbe road just ahead of me last Sat. Told a neighbor about it. Seems she saw one recently also.
And a queen also fluttered by before I made it home. Bright monarch, very dark queen. And a BRIGHT gulf fritillary the next day.
Fun sights for July!!
First monarch I’d seen in weeks.
But, a friend in San Antonio has one laying eggs in her yard, as did another a couple of weeks back.
Antelope horn mw is mostly gone, but I’m seeing more zizotes mw than ever before here.
