Monarch flying erratically and landing for a few seconds at several spots within a linear patch of whorled milkweeds (I suspect egg-deposition activity but no proof). It also landed on nearby 3-squre bulrush and southern cattail leaves/stems. The milkweed plants had no flowers at this time.
