I was trimming back old, tough common milkweed to encourage new growth and didn't expect to find any eggs on these old plants. Wouldn't you know one lone egg was on a huge old leaf. I now have another egg to raise. I guess Monarchs have to be less picky about milkweed plants as the season goes on.
