Small patch of about 40 milkweed plants on south side of home. Counted 14 eggs today. Have reared many caterpillar/Monarchs from this patch through the years…seldom see caterpillars “in the wild” as ants eat the eggs if we don’t take inside to start; then they go outside to grow, form chrysalis and eclose. Sort of a catch 22 with info on not rearing, but just providing habitat.
