Reported by Don Davis: Patrick H. reported to this writer that he spotted his first monarch of the year on his property on the self-governing French territory of St. Pierre et Miquelon, located just off of the coast of the Canadian province of Newfoundland. Common milkweed grows here, and monarchs are seen here and reproduce here most years. People living here are French citizens, speaking French. Currency used is the Euro.
