Over the last two days nectar consumption at my feeders has plummeted, and today only Anna’s are visiting. Apparently my local Summer 2021 Rufous crowd has departed.

I wish them good fortune. Their flight paths are headed through dangerous, compromised territories. As if the trip wasn’t already impossibly difficult to begin with.
