Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/23/2021

Number: 53

We have four different areas with planted milkweed surrounded by nectar plants. I had seen some monarchs flying around, so I decided to go on a caterpillar hunt on all of my plants Friday morning. I successfully counted 53 monarch caterpillars. There may have been more, but I think I found most of them. They ranged in size from about a quarter inch up to about 1,5 inches in length, so a variety of days the eggs were laid.
