I had 3 tiny caterpillars on my single milkweed plant in the front of my house. 2 of the 3 caterpillars disappeared the day after I spotted them. I watched the remaining caterpillar grow into this chrysalis (picture attached). I found the chrysalis today, July 28, 2021. Yesterday, July 27, 2021, a medium-sized caterpillar showed up on the remaining leaves of my milkweed. I can't say if it's one of the original 3 or not because it's smaller than the other caterpillar that is now in its chrysalis. I don't know who around me has milkweed that this caterpillar could have come from.
