This whorled milkweed was very profuse in 2018, thousands of plants in this former pasture. Then none in 2019 and 2020. It is back. Unfortunately my husband cut most of it to bale as he didn’t know what it looked like and I hadn’t noticed it earlier so i could stop him. Will watch to see if it grows back. This was a patch he missed. 2018 was the first time i noticed it. The monarchs and insects were thick in it that summer.
