Another common milkweed colony partially mowed in recent days. Perhaps 40 live stalks remaining, but neither monarch butterflies, larvae, nor eggs found with a rapid search. This milkweed patch occurs along the top of a steep bank that dams an empty and dry dry flood control pool of perhaps 1500 square meters area.
