10:30 AM, 1.5 mile walk along the Sandy Hook Trail at Tawas Point State Park. 65 degrees, partly sunny, northerly winds at 10 mph. The adults seen up close were looking weathered. Photo captured 1 at rest. Several were seen flying high overhead, several nectaring, 1 on wet mud. Feeding on spotted knapweed and a variety of other wildfowers.
