Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/30/2021

Number: 1

Relocated from the Midwest where over 19 years I raised and released over 2500 monarchs.

This one is in an instar on speciosa. So far here, I’ve released 57 as of today, with 67 in pupa. It’s easier to leave them outside here till they are 2-3 days from going into pupa.

Predation is different, nowhere as high as it was in the Midwest.

Sure miss common milkweed, which fed so many.

I am learning, as this is my journey and purpose.
