Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/31/2021

Number: 3

4th day of monarchs spotted in my garden. Today I spotted 3 of them. Some feeding on nectar plants, 1 laid several eggs on my remaining milkweed.
Of my 75 eggs collected a few weeks back. Only 40 caterpillars have survived so far. They are just about ready for the chrysalis stage.
I had I would say an average of 35 to 40 caterpillars that survived from the batch from may/june.
I just collected over the last 4 days about 80 eggs.
The butterflies fluttering about seem much bigger and more vibrant then the earlier July ones.
