4:31pm, temp 85, winds NNW at 12 MPH with continuing smoke and haze from Canadian wildfires. I wonder what effect this smoke might have on Monarch health or behavior. Three males have been buzzing the gardens for the last few days. One of them is the Monarch with a torn wing tip. I submitted his picture earlier this week. I guess they do tend to stay one place.
