8:50 pm at sunset observed 2 monarchs come from the north flying south, cross over our road to our neighbour's willow tree. I then also observed 2 or 3 also flitting about our sycamore tree next to neighbour's willow tree. There were 5 or 6 at tree tops flitting back & forth looking for roost spot. They finally settled, all individually.
23°c with very light south breeze at 10 kmh.
A beautiful day mostly sunny with high of 24°. I had a few patrolling males flitting about tbriugh the day. (Not included in this evening count.) A cold front arrived yesterday (overnight low of 11°) no longer high humidity. Low tonight 16°c with rain in the forecast overnight into tomorrow.
