Saw 12 monarchs, including one mated pair, in my front yard. Fewer than years past, but hoping to see more as the weather improves. Smoky from Canada fires and drought condition, athough I water.
Liatris ligulistylis now in bloom. Also have zinnias in bloom, Liatris pychnostachya is mostly done blooming. Some asclepius tuberosa is still in bloom. Common milkweed is not fresh, even though I cut some back early July. It's been very hot (high 90s and even hit 100) but today is beautiful.
