I observed 5 monarchs in directional flight heading south down the Lake Huron shoreline at Harrisville State Park from 11:00 AM to 3PM. They were on a NW Wind blowing 9 to 19 mph about 200' overhead. Later, the Wind turned NE at a steady 15 mph at about 2:15 PM. No monarchs were seen the last 45 minutes of the count, or at my house the rest of the day. The Temperature topped out at 67F. I now have counted 54 monarchs on migration since July 26th.
