Daytripping 11am -5pm; 60 kms north to Chatham then 30 kms northeast, then 25 kms south to Palmyra along Lake Erie's Northshore back home so taking into consideration numerous in-shop stops during that time period, while driving, observed about 15 monarchs individually in directional flight from north to south or to southwest. All flew over the roadways at about 10-20' up.
25°c. Partly cloudy with isolated showers. North wind at approx 15 kph.
Many areas with Common milkweed along roadsides or in yards. No goldenrod yet in bloom anywhere along our drive.
