Sightings report image

Date: 08/01/2021

Number: 1

Submitted by Don Davis. My friends, Kees and Sabina, formerly operated a large greenhouse business near Kitchener, Ontario, and hosted "Monarch Days" every September. They also reared monarchs. They retired and moved to Prince Edward Island, and Sabina was very excited when she sent me this note: "Good evening Don,
I just thought it's getting time to send you an email when I ran with my wheel barrow full with clippings of my flower beds past the big patch of swamp milkweed. And there was this beautiful female Monarch. I will check for eggs tomorrow. This is the very first monarch I have seen in our garden in Derby, West Prince, P.E.I."
