Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/26/2021

Number: 1

I hike a 1.8-mile figure 8 trail on my 35 acre property. It passes around and through several fields having naturally converted to grassland. I estimate some 2000 milkweed, Asclepias syriaca, stems. As I walk, I record the sightings of adult monarchs and watch for larvae. This report is the individual day representing maximum adult observation during the July 23 to August 3 Monarch Bliss period. All the dates and observations are listed as follows.
7/24 8 adults 1 larvae
7/26 7 adults 1 larvae
7/28 4 adults 0 larvae
7/30 4 adults 0 larvae
8/2 2 adults 0 larvae
