Released in southeast PA ten monarchs that I purchased as larva in upstate PA. At least four were female. Some may have mated while still in the cage.


08/03/2021 saw a mating pair in my yard for the first time since we started growing milkweed for them four years ago. We now have more than a dozen milkweed plants of different types.

Here's hoping some eggs were left behind.

I think I have finally gained a knowledge base for minimizing the oleander aphids so the plants are still in bloom.
